COVID-19 CHANGES

As a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to change our business structure. Government regulations have prevented us from providing services within our usual gym and pool setting.?We have also made the choice for the health and safety of our clients to not provide a home visit service.

We are however, offering telehealth services. This involves phone or video consultations, as well as setting up online individualised exercise programmes. These programmes are set up on an app, PhysiApp, which is accessible via Smartphone, Ipad or computer. This is an interactive system where we can see when clients complete their programmes, receive feedback as to how difficult they are finding each exercise and make appropriate changes.

Costs for telehealth services are covered under the following schemes:

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Medicare, under a Chronic Disease Management Plan referral from your GP
  • Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
  • SIRA Workers Compensation

Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) is working with private health insurers in the hope that rebates will also become available.
